The scope of the project includes a framework contract for soil remediation. The contaminated soils are delivered to one of the sites on behalf of OVAM (Public Waste Agency of Flanders) and originate from sites that are being remediated under the direction of OVAM. The specific choice of the delivery site is determined based on the distance to the actual work site. Delivery can be done either by road or by ship.
The contaminated soils may need to be remediated through biological, physico-chemical, or thermal processes. If remediation is not feasible, we are required to request approval for non-remediation, after which the soils must be disposed of.
